Company timeline

  • Technetix was incorporated in March 1990 by our CEO Paul Broadhurst and initially focused on both cable and satellite television equipment.  Quickly identifying the potential in the cable market, we soon demonstrated our key strength of providing the market with customer-led innovations for the headend, access network and in-home environments.

In 1996, Technetix grew rapidly and built up a reputation for providing a wide range of technical solutions with all the major UK cable network operators.

We complemented our product range in 2000 by acquiring Tele-Installs, a manufacturer and distributor of cable television installation products. This acquisition also expanded our outsourced Far East manufacturing footprint and provided a supply chain added value service to the existing manufacturing business.

During 2003 Technetix opened a sales office in Spain.
  • In 2005, the acquisition of Tratec positioned Technetix as the leading manufacturer of network final mile products all across Europe. This acquisition provided us with a wide reaching European market and sales presence with additional offices in Poland, Denmark and France.

During 2006, Technetix completed the acquisition of Belgium based provider of head end and access network equipment, MTEC Broadband. This brought us the skillset to start servicing a broader range of requirements for the access network equipment market and to offer a repair and upgrade service to European cable operators.

We continued our international expansion through 2007 with the opening of a South East European sales office and warehouse in Pristina, Kosovo, to serve the Balkan region and a USA office in Denver, Colorado serving the United States and Canadian markets.

Towards the end of 2007, we completed our acquisition of Foentel Telecomunicaciones, the leading access and connected home supplier in Spain. This positioned Technetix as the leading supplier to the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
  • Technetix continued to develop. In 2011, we opened an office and warehouse facility in Ireland and appointed a Sales Director in Portugal to exploit extensive market opportunities in that region.

With a history of innovation and quality, we remain passionate about creating products that enable our customers to build and maintain advanced, reliable and cost-effective networks.

In 2012 Technetix further expanded its European local presence with the opening of a warehouse in Timisoara, Romania. Later, the warehouse was relocated to Bucharest to better serve the Romanian market. In 2013, an additional depot was established in Budapest, serving the Hungarian market.

In 2014, the company established a branch office of Technetix Limited in Taiwan. This activity will improve product quality further and help us build closer relationships with our manufacturing partners going forward. Towards the end of 2014, Technetix recruited dedicated sales contacts for Mexico, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Representatives were also established for the AsiaPac (Malaysia) and Hong Kong markets.
  • In March 2015, Technetix celebrated 25 years in the broadband cable industry. Four months later, the company relocated its UK head office and warehouse to attractive new premises in Albourne, West Sussex.

On October 1st, 2015 Technetix Group Ltd announced completion of the acquisition of the assets of the ARRIS Supplies Division – formerly TeleWire Supplies and part of ARRIS Group, Inc.

With the transaction complete, Technetix has expanded its footprint in the Americas and now offers customers a greater range of solutions and support services to enable accelerated growth in the Americas cable market.

Technetix has integrated the ARRIS Supplies business into its existing USA operations in Denver, Colorado, while also retaining ARRIS Supplies’ existing operations in Cary, North Carolina – enhancing its local platform for innovation and better serving the region’s leading cable operators.

Paul Broadhurst, CEO of Technetix Group, said, “With this acquisition completed, we are now focused on a smooth transition for all our customers, both new and existing, combined with offering a greater range of innovative products and enhanced services.

“This acquisition will be transformational for Technetix and has placed the company in an ideal position for accelerated growth in the Americas market, adding customer base, extensive products and broad employee talent.

“We expect this to be a very positive transition for our customers, combining one of the leading companies in supply chain management solutions in the USA with a leading supplier of broadband cable solutions in Europe.”
