Manufacturing and quality assurance

Technetix’ main manufacturing plants include two sites in Taiwan and three sites in mainland China; relationships with our manufacturing partners in the Far East date back over 10 years. All facilities are accredited to the ISO9001 quality management system and the ISO14001 environmental management system. Technetix also has service and support centres in Diegem, Belgium; Wroclaw, Poland and Englewood, CO, USA, which assemble and configure systems and carry out fast-reaction small-volume assembly.

Facilities and production

The wide variety of Technetix products are produced at our five facilities in Taiwan and China. These vertically integrated sites handle automated surface mount and leaded PCB assembly (to RoHS and REACH standards), zinc and aluminium die-casting, plastic injection moulding, final assembly, test and packaging. All sites have ‘standards’ laboratories to enable full batch qualification of products.

Quality is a way of life at Technetix. We have offices adjacent to all our manufacturing partners  with a quality assurance and quality engineering office in Taipei, Taiwan, a manufacturing management office in Hong Kong, and our own onsite quality control engineers at our partner sites in mainland China.

Lean manufacturing

Regular supplier visits allow us to strengthen partnerships and provide support during new product development and throughout the manufacturing process. Our lean manufacturing program encompasses the ‘5S’ visual management system (‘Sort, Set, Shine, Standardise and Sustain’) in all warehouses and with key suppliers. Problem solving workshops are held with vendors and value stream mapping (VSM) plays a crucial role in streamlining work processes.

Quality assurance

Technetix strives to manage quality at source. Our quality management system is certified to ISO9001:2015, and it provides the framework for controlling all quality processes and QC inspection systems at Technetix.

A strict product approvals process for validating the first production batch of samples and approving goods for mass production ensures we keep control of product design and development from conception to delivery. Sampling for inspection is in accordance with the ISO2859-1:1999 (MIL-STD 105E) assured quality standard. QC inspections are pre-determined relevant to each product.
